How to Deal With a Difficult Boss.

Many techniques are taught on how to deal with difficult people. Most require that you talk with the person, communicating how you feel and coming up with a plan to handle the difficulty. Some require you to become more assertive. But what happens when the difficult person is your boss? Many people are uncomfortable talking with their boss about the problem. And in this uncertain economic climate, many employees do not want to 'rock the boat'. So what can you do? Today I saw a client whom I will call Tina. She learned my Defusing Difficulties™ Technique a few months ago to help her deal with her difficult boss. Tina works in a small office of five employees and her boss is also the owner of the company. I taught Tina the simple Defusing Difficulties™ Technique which is perfect for this type of situation because you do not have to talk to the person and the technique is still quite effective. Tina told me today that her boss is much easier to work with and the office climate is 100 percent better. The best part is Tina did not have to talk with her boss about the problem, which might have caused a strained work environment.

How to Deal With a Difficult Trainee

Defusing Difficulties™ is a simple conflict resolution technique to deal with difficult people. It does not require any face-to-face interaction and is perfect for computer professionals, engineers and scientists. It deals with the underlying energy of the difficult person and the problems they create. I used the Defusing Difficulties™ technique on my trainee whom I'll call Mark. He was the epitome of the difficult student. During a training I do not have time to talk with someone about their problem or come up with a plan to resolve their difficulties. This simple and fast technique is a visualization technique that works. Through out my day of training I performed this technique on Mark and at the end of the day he apologized for his earlier behavior. The rest of the week went smoothly.
